Doubles as an awesome Mad Diaper Rash Treatment! Because it contains 25% NON-nano zinc, when "prescription" diaper ointment is needed, it replaces that need with a natural alternative! (just be sure to use a liner when cloth diapering). It's also great on other owies that need moisture protection.

Ingredients: Extra Virgin olive oil, non-nano 25% zinc oxide, sesame seed oil**, candelilla wax, virgin macadamia nut oil**, virgin coconut oil, tocophoral (vitamin e T-50), lavender essential oil (sun safe amounts).

    (Pretty Much da BALM! Baby)

Directions: Use on skin about to relax or have fun in the sun!  Our sunscreen works within minutes, so apply immediately before sun exposure.  Apply as needed, at least every 1-2 hours (amount will depend on fairness of skin, place of sun exposure / amount of ray exposure (e.g. close to the equator / brightness, etc.).

Most of our customers claim 1X-2X is average for a day in the sun with water, when used in combination with taking breaks from direct sunlight (chillin' in the shade, relaxing in a hammock, bonding with friends and fam, grabbing a snack, etc.)! We advise applying BEFORE getting to any "sandy" destination (:

Certifications:  As a small company we aren’t able to test for broad spectrum at this point. That said, we come from the position of using sunscreen in “nontraditional” ways (eg, using shade and other sources of sun protection, limiting sun exposure, etc), as vitamin D is important to get, but in moderation (due to harmful rays).

Also, with any sunscreen (chemical/conventional or mineral/natural) people can and do burn, as how it is traditionally used can be problematic, esp. on those with fair skin, and depending on multiple factors (such as how close to the equator one is, how hot it is, if a person is in snow/water, etc.)
All that said, ours sunscreen is safe for human bodies, the ocean/earth (including the packaging, not just the ingredients), and we advise using in combination with other resources (as mentioned above). Our formula is similar to other mineral sunscreens that do have that testing, if that matters to you.  We also have been rated safe (per our ingredients) with EWG since they initiated their rating system. But, if broad spectrum certification is important to you, we advise using another brand.
