Punkin Butt Eczema Skin Soothing Balm
This soothing balm is filled with essential oils and other soothing oils. It feels great on skin that is inflamed by psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis herpetiformis, viral infections, insect bites and other common ailments. It will not cure your skin condition — as they are usually caused by an inflammatory skin disorder, food allergy or other internal reaction. But the use of our balm will help calm and soothe the dry itchy skin and prevent infections caused by excessive scratching.
Essential Oils For Treating Eczema:
Chamomile: Chamomile essential oil has strong anti-inflammatory and calming properties.
Clary Sage: Also an anti-inflammatory, clary sage essential oil minimizes stress and anxiety, which are common triggers of eczema.
Lavender: Lavender is probably the most pertinent eczema essential oil. It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, calming, and normalizing properties. It also supports immune health, and is extremely beneficial for alleviating stress.
Myrrh: Myrrh has strong anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antiseptic properties making it ideal for pain relief and minimizing infections from scratching.
Tea Tree: Tea tree oil is one of the best cleansing essential oils. It is extremely effective in protecting the skin from infection, as an antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal essential oil. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Other Oils Used For Soothing Eczema
Lanolin: The most natural emollient that comes closest to matching our own skin oils, lanolin is the ideal oil for raw skin, which is why it is often used it in soothing balms. It provides a protective barrier while allowing the skin to breathe and function normally. It is capable of softening the roughest skin while being extremely gentle.
Neem Oil: Neem oil is also very effective in preventing your skin from drying out. Neem is anti-inflammatory, and can reduce the redness and irritation caused by many skin conditions. Neem is also a strong analgesic (pain killer). Some people report instant relief from the excruciating discomfort, as soon as they apply neem salve or soothing balms to eczema skin. And neem is antibacterial, which helps with secondary infections.
Coconut Oil: The antimicrobial and moisturizing properties of coconut oil make it ideal for skin issues. It will melt and absorb into the skin easily making it great for deep irritations.
Sunflower Oil: High in Vitamin E, and well known for its calming and emollient properties, sunflower oil is an excellent way to soothe your skin and maintain its health.
Cocoa Butter: High in natural fats and melts at body temperature, this rich butter absorbs easily while leaving a temporary barrier that holds moisture and the other oils in as they soak deep into the skin.
**Also contains Jojoba Butter and Beeswax.
Tips : Before using, apply a small amount of the soothing balm and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction. Should you find it irritating at all, you might be sensitive to one of our ingredients. If that’s the case, try our Solid Lanolin for Skin. One ingredient and it works great!
For best results, use a minimum of once per day especially after bathing while the skin is still moist. Rub in the soothing balm and allow it to fully absorb prior to getting dressed. Typically it only takes a few minutes for the balm to be absorbed. If skin is calloused, rub off loose skin before additional applications of our Skin Soothing Balm. Each time you use it, the top layers of dry skin will soften and roll off easily!
Always wash hands before treating raw or bleeding skin to avoid infections.
See a doctor or health care professional for proper diagnosis. Many skin conditions are a result of something internal and are simply symptoms of a greater issue.
